With the implementation and in-depth advancement of the "14th Five-Year Plan for Intelligent Manufacturing Development Plan", realizing the transformation from "Made in China" to "Intelligent Manufacturing in China" has become a common goal both inside and outside the industry. As a practical technology that combines artificial intelligence with manufacturing, machine vision has been involved in various important links such as tracking of manufacturing production processes and product quality inspection, and has continuously promoted the manufacturing industry towards intelligent and high-quality development. As one of the largest and most authoritative machine vision exhibitions in East China, the China (Shanghai) Machine Vision Exhibition is a valuable opportunity for Canon to conduct in-depth exchanges with Chinese customers and feed back experience into product research and development; at the same time, this exhibition is also For the first time, Canon (China) faced customers in the Chinese machine vision industry and exhibited everything from components to overall solutions. This is another new market exploration for Canon in the field of industrial manufacturing.

CMOS image sensor series products exhibited for the first time

Since Canon (China) launched CMOS image sensors to the Chinese market on May 16 this year, it has brought more than 20 models to the Chinese market that can be used in surveillance and security, flat panel display detection, microscope applications, digital storage, streaming cameras, biotechnology, etc. Sensor products for diverse business fields such as medical care. With the advantages of high resolution and high-speed output, Canon CMOS image sensors can bring clearer and higher-quality picture output to meet the needs of a wider range of image sensor markets. This is the first time the image sensor has appeared at the exhibition since it went on sale in mainland China.

In the field of industrial manufacturing, as the level of automation increases, the requirements for detection accuracy are also further increasing. In the fields of flat panel display inspection, industrial inspection, video production and storage, and large-scale surveillance used in image sensor products, the advancement of 4K and 8K technology has put forward higher requirements for sensor resolution. Canon's new APS-H size CMOS image sensors LI8020SAC (color) and LI8020SAM (black and white) can capture images with a resolution of approximately 250 million pixels, so they can capture images over a wider area and retain the fine details of the entire image. .

The 120 million high-resolution CMOS image sensor makes the near-infrared spectrum clearly visible and "shows off its talents" in the fields of food inspection and medical testing.

In application fields that have high requirements for sensitivity, image quality, and high-speed signal readout, such as microscope observation cameras, optical microscope cameras, traffic monitoring, etc., Canon's machine vision/monitoring products can achieve high-speed output and other advantages, bringing clearer , higher-quality picture output to better meet industrial inspection needs. Among them, the 19-megapixel global shutter CMOS image sensor LI5030SA is a global shutter sensor with low-light imaging characteristics and high dynamic range, which can capture accurate and distortion-free images of high-speed moving objects, as well as image capture when the camera using the sensor moves at high speed. . This product can be divided into four types according to different functions: LI5030SAC (color), LI5030SAM (black and white), LI5020SAI (color + near infrared) and LI5030SAN (without microlens array or color filter) to meet the different needs of industrial inspection.

In addition, Canon's 2.1-megapixel HDR CMOS image sensor LI7050SA can cope with the high sensitivity requirements of network and industrial cameras. By combining high sensitivity and HDR functions, it can simultaneously detect information in light and dark areas with large brightness differences. Even in cases where multiple cameras with different characteristics are required, one machine can be used to simultaneously detect light and dark area information.

Dedicated image processing software for manufacturing sites – Vision Edition 2.01 upgraded version makes stunning debut

Another Canon product debuting at this show is the manufacturing site-specific image processing software – Vision Edition 2.01. Vision Edition 2.01 is one of the software products of the "Canon Industrial Imaging Platform" product line. It can provide production site automation and support image processing, helping to achieve stable production, prevent failures, and help rapid repairs. By providing a systematic solution, Vision Edition 2.01 can be linked with Canon network cameras to help users achieve "factory visual management". Its characteristic is that it can overlook the vast site and detect microscopic details, which is another way to build a smart factory. "Sharp weapon".

Vision Edition 2.01 has achieved a comprehensive upgrade in terms of software version, especially in terms of core algorithm and accuracy, which have been greatly improved based on the previous version. In terms of external device connection, on the basis of industrial cameras that work with robotic arms, Vision Edition 2.01 also adds new network cameras and EOS series camera products released in the past two years, greatly expanding the compatibility of peripherals and making external devices more accessible. The pixels and frame rate of the device have been substantially improved. In addition, Vision Edition 2.01 can trigger and transmit signals to Milestone XProtect®, a video management platform that combines all components of the video surveillance device and can be used for process optimization, security improvement, traffic management, archiving and recording, etc. function. There has also been an upgrade in terms of supported operating systems - Windows® tablets can use their own cameras to obtain video, and software can be purchased separately for use.

The updated iteration of Vision Edition 2.01 represents Canon’s pioneering innovation in the field of industrial automation. At present, the "Canon Industrial Imaging Platform" including Vision Edition 2.01 has been officially used in Canon's daily production in factories around the world, and has a significant effect on improving automation and intelligence.

"Trial Exhibition" VISION-BASED positioning and navigation system service robot solution debuts in China for the first time

The VISION-BASED positioning and navigation system software uses image analysis methods containing Visual SLAM technology to extract the characteristics of the surrounding environment from camera images to determine its own position. It is called the "smart eye" of AGV (Automated Guided Vehicle) . Compared with positioning methods based on lidar, AGVs equipped with VISION-BASED positioning and navigation system software can operate automatically without laying navigation magnetic strips. With the support of Visual SLAM (Simultaneous Localization and Mapping) technology, AGV will have more powerful basic performance. Its response and stability to lighting changes, external light environment, and layout changes will be improved, and it can operate in strong/dim light. , used inside and outside factories with frequent layout changes and up and down ramps, breaking the restrictions on AGV operation in complex factory and warehouse environments. In addition, Visual SLAM technology can smoothly switch maps according to the place of use, such as moving from the 1st floor to the 2nd floor, etc., and share the map between cameras of the same model, thus saving time to generate maps again. The unique viewing style of the VISION-BASED positioning and navigation system software is equipped with functions necessary for environmental confirmation and problem response. By viewing the detection status through the camera and laptop, you can view the distribution of feature points, map shape, reliability and other information. This exhibition of VISION-BASED positioning and navigation system software is a trial exhibition. Stay tuned for more sales information.
