In the global fight against the epidemic, ventilators have become one of the important medical devices for treating severe COVID-19 patients. As an effective means of artificially replacing autonomous ventilation, ventilators have been widely used in modern clinical medicine in the fields of critical care, emergency, anesthesia medicine, and home health care. With the continuous strengthening of people's health awareness, home medical devices have developed rapidly. Home ventilators can also help people with snoring to relieve symptoms of dyspnea and improve sleep quality.
The ventilator mainly determines the patient's breathing state by detecting the difference between the gas pressure at the ventilator end and the external pressure, thereby achieving the function of assisting breathing. It often requires a high-precision, high-reliability, and high-stability pressure sensor inside.
July 5, 2022 - Naxin Micro announced the launch of a gauge pressure sensor NSPGS5 series. This series of products uses a CMOS mixed signal conditioning chip to amplify, calibrate and compensate the output of the MEMS core, and can convert the pressure signal from -10kPa to +10kPa into an analog signal with a customizable output range (0~5V) and a digital I2C signal. At the same time, the built-in MEMS differential pressure core is based on the highly sensitive single-crystal silicon piezoresistive effect and is designed using advanced silicon-silicon bonding CSOI MEMS micromachining technology. The accuracy and stability of the MEMS core are better than 1%FS during its life cycle .

This series of products is mainly used in medical fields such as ventilators, oxygen concentrators, anesthesia machines, pulmonary function testers, sphygmomanometers and biological safety cabinets; at the same time, it is also used in gas flow detection, pressure switches and industrial control.
The main features of the product are as follows:
High precision and low power consumption: High linearity, good stability, no calibration required, 100% temperature compensation, factory accuracy better than ±1%FS, life cycle accuracy better than ±2%FS, full temperature range working current less than 3.5mA.
Multiple output modes: Supports analog absolute output and digital I2C (under development) output, suitable for a variety of application requirements, simple and convenient, and good portability.
Customized products: The range within -10kPa~10kPa can be customized, the output mode (analog/I2C) can be customized, supporting a variety of pressure application scenarios, and high flexibility.
Wide temperature range: -20℃~85℃ working temperature, 0℃~70℃ compensation temperature. The extremely wide temperature range can help the ventilator adapt to various harsh working environments. At the same time, the wide temperature compensation range can also ensure the stability of the product and greatly reduce the impact of temperature changes on product functions.
Single air nozzle package: It adopts SOIC-16 package with single air nozzle, supports front air intake, and has an atmospheric through hole on the back, which saves the structural design space of the ventilator as much as possible. It has high reliability and stress relief characteristics, which is convenient for customers to weld and use while ensuring excellent performance and reliability of the product.
Naxin Micro is a high-performance, high-reliability analog and mixed-signal chip design company. It not only has self-developed MEMS design and packaging technology and multi-pressure temperature point automated batch calibration technology, but also can provide customers with better delivery to reduce supply chain risks. In addition, Naxin Micro can also provide customized chemical sealing products according to customer needs to meet the application needs of different scenarios.
