Team of wireless experts to showcase Cellular IoT, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth LE, nRF Cloud positioning, security and device management services, Matter, DECT NR+, LE Audio and PMIC solutions at region’s premier connectivity event
Oslo, Norway – June 11, 2024 – Nordic Semiconductor will host a series of advanced and cutting-edge IoT demonstrations at MWC Shanghai 2024, Asia’s largest and most influential connected event (held at the Shanghai New International Expo Center from June 26 to 28) this month. Nordic will showcase its full range of low-power wireless connectivity solutions, including cellular IoT, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth® LE, Matter and DECT NR+ IoT technologies.
Showcasing Nordic Technology
Nordic engineers will be offering a variety of exclusive, personalised demonstrations at their stand (N2-D100), and customers and interested parties are welcome to attend.
Demonstrations include low-power cellular asset tracking, seamlessly integrating the industry-leading low-power cellular performance of the nRF9151 SiP with the nRF7000 Wi-Fi 6 companion IC, providing developers with a powerful combination of GNSS, cellular-based, and SSID-based Wi-Fi positioning. Other cellular IoT demonstrations include a SoftSIM demonstration, showcasing the benefits of Nordic’s low-power cellular IoT solution, the nRF Cloud solution, and partner Onomondo’s 100% software SIM replacement.
Nordic will also demonstrate Matter over Thread and Matter over Wi-Fi smart home applications using its revolutionary nRF54 Series 4th generation multiprotocol SoCs. The Matter standard ensures that connected devices can interoperate in any ecosystem, and advanced demonstrations will show how to control Matter-enabled smart home accessories on the Matter network using Apple and Google.
Visitors can also experience Bluetooth LE Audio (“LE Audio”) and Auracast™ broadcast technology, as well as DECT NR+ audio demonstrations. For developers designing the latest audio solutions, Nordic will showcase the nRF5340 Audio DK for low-energy and high-quality wireless audio. Nordic’s nRF5340 Audio DK includes everything developers need to take advantage of LE Audio’s sound quality, low power consumption, and wireless stereo enhancement capabilities.
Further demonstrations will include Nordic's suite of power management ICs, machine learning (ML), and channel sounding using the Nordic Distance Toolbox (NDT).
