Shanghai, China, January 16, 2024 - ams-OSRAM, the world's leading optical solutions provider, today announced that ams-OSRAM, a leader in biomonitoring technology, and Movano Health, a pioneer in health technology, have joined forces to jointly integrate ams-OSRAM. Osram's PPG sensor solution is integrated into the Evie Ring, a smart ring designed specifically for women by Movano Health.
To bring high-quality data to the forefront of consumer health devices, Movano Health launches the wearable device Evie Ring. Designed specifically for women, this personalized solution not only provides medical-grade measurement of key vital signs data, but also provides users with a comprehensive understanding of their health based on their individual needs. Evie Ring won the 2024 CES Innovation Award in the Wearable Devices Category.
ams-OSRAM's comprehensive PPG sensor solution includes optical front-end (OFE) SFH 7014C emitter and SFH 2705 detector technology, paired with the company's analog front-end (AFE) AS7057. The total radiation intensity of the emitter is more than 40% higher than that of the previous generation product, and the chip surface area of the photodetector is significantly larger than that of competing products. This solution significantly improves the sensitivity and accuracy of readings, and effectively solves a common problem faced by all biological monitoring equipment: the effective signal after LED emitted light is scattered and absorbed by human tissue will be relatively weak. How to accurately detect the tinyness of these weak light signals? changes, which will directly affect system performance. This solution coincides with Evie's goal of creating a device tailor-made for women's fingers.
