Tmall Genie V10 is launched, with home care and video calling capabilities that are top-notch for a thousand-yuan phone

On October 18, Tmall Genie released the 10.1-inch home smart screen V10, which has undergone more than 10 special technical upgrades for the "remote companionship" scenario. It has an 8-megapixel front camera and a 120-degree wide-angle configuration, making it a top-of-the-line speaker with a screen priced at around 1,000 yuan.

It is reported that in order to enable long-distance families and people who frequently travel for business to communicate with their families better, the Tmall Genie technical team has invested 10 special algorithms in V10, and has upgraded functions such as answer-free video calls, children's mode, elder mode, and home care. In addition, during the Tmall Double 11 pre-sale period, more than 100 new AIoT ecological products will be launched.

According to the seventh census, the number of people living in my country who are separated from their households has reached 493 million, accounting for about 35% of the total population. With the increase of the floating population in the whole society, a large number of families "cut apart by time and space" have emerged. After more than half a year of visits and investigations, the Tmall Genie team found that the elderly and young people live independently, and parents and children living in different places have become the norm. Smart terminals should try to alleviate the obstacles to family connections, reduce the communication load of the backbone population, and open a "door" for remote companionship of the family.

In order to make it convenient for everyone to "video call" their family anytime and anywhere, V10 has specially added a "no-answer answer" function. When using a smart speaker or APP to video call your family, as long as the other party authorizes to turn on the no-answer function, you can talk on the screen without manual answering; at the same time, the automatic portrait follow can ensure that the person you are talking to is always in the center of the screen during the call. In addition, in terms of core components, the V10 smart screen is equipped with an 8-megapixel high-definition camera and a 120-degree wide-angle adaptive lens, which increases the field of view by 270%; it is also equipped with a 6-core chip, DSP anti-noise voice chip and NPU neural network engine, providing the best hardware configuration among similar products for video calls, interactive education, home care and other functions, making family calls clearer and more friendly.

In order to solve the problems of incomplete vocal tract development, poor language organization and unclear pronunciation of children under 12 years old, V10 has specially upgraded the algorithm of children's speech recognition. Through the verification of the model in the past six months, V10 has become the first product with a dedicated children's speech recognition (ASR) link, and the children's ASR interaction is as smooth as the adult mode.

As for the screen eye protection issue that parents are most concerned about, V10 has also upgraded a number of audio-visual algorithms: it adopts MiraVision chip-level eye protection, and is equipped with multi-modal interaction optimization of 30cm close-range reminder and sitting posture reminder, which is more considerate in child mode.

As a smart screen designed for the whole family, Tmall Genie will launch the "Elder Mode" for the first time. V10 has designed a more refreshing and concise interface for the elderly. At the same time, when "Love Family Care" is turned on, the V10 smart screen focuses on several algorithms including: human detection, fall detection and child crying detection. On the basis of strictly protecting privacy data, through AliGenie multi-modal recognition and understanding, it can timely remind potential emergencies and conduct remote safety warnings.

At this autumn press conference, INtang and Genshin Impact jointly launched a customized version of the game character Keqing, which made many fans present exclaim "enjoyable"!
