Shenzhen Newdray Technology Development Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Newdray"), a national high-tech enterprise and an industry-leading provider of pressure-sensitive touch solutions, recently attended the SPD Silicon Valley Bank Future Club 2020 Capital Online Matchmaking Conference. Dr. Li Hao, founder and CEO of Newdray, demonstrated Newdray Technology's technological innovation progress in the field of pressure-sensitive touch and the future prospects of the broad human-computer interaction market to nearly 100 well-known investment institutions attending the conference.

Dr. Li Hao said: "Clicking, pressing, sliding, holding, these pressure-sensitive touch operations are one of the most instinctive ways of interaction for humans. Starting from the dimension of 'pressure', Newtide senses the pressure value provided by the user by sensing the very small deformation of the contact surface, thereby realizing a more natural and futuristic innovative interactive pressure-sensitive touch solution. Market research data shows that in 2023, pressure sensors will account for 36% of sensor applications in the IoT market. The trillion-dollar market size of the IoT will greatly expand the space for multiple application scenarios for pressure-sensitive interaction. Newtide is going all out to meet the new opportunities and challenges under the wave of IoT smart hardware."

He further introduced that the innovative "stick-on, use-off" pressure-sensitive touch solution launched by Newtray has overcome many limitations of traditional pressure sensors and has four major characteristics: high sensitivity, flexibility, stick-on, use-off and high cost-effectiveness. It also has the advantage of high vertical integration and can be easily integrated and used in many scenarios. It can provide a novel and natural pressure-sensitive touch experience in highly integrated terminal devices such as smartphones, wearables, smart homes, automotive electronics and other applications. "
All innovations are essentially inseparable from hardware innovation. NewDray has nearly ten years of professional accumulation and rich product layout in the field of human-computer interaction. It has launched a series of pressure-sensitive touch solutions such as 3D Touch, Edge Sense, Virtual Gaming Key, Buttonless, etc. Its advantages such as high vertical integration and easy integration can help customers accelerate the cycle from product development to market launch, while also bringing end users a fast, real and natural pressure-sensitive touch interaction experience. Taking mobile phone pressure-sensitive touch applications as an example, since 2015, NewDray has jointly launched more than 30 flagship products equipped with pressure-sensitive touch solutions with ZTE, Xiaomi, vivo, Google and other manufacturers, with cumulative shipments exceeding 40 million sets, and has a 97.5% share in the mobile phone pressure-sensitive touch market, undoubtedly becoming a leader in this field.

Dr. Li Hao pointed out that 2020 is a year of both "danger" and "opportunity", and it is also a critical period for NewDray to further transform into the Internet of Things market. For example, pressure-sensitive touch is becoming the interactive entrance of the next generation of TWS headphones, and laptop products represented by MacBook are also gradually introducing pressure-sensitive touch design. According to data from market research institutions, by 2022, global sales of TWS headphones are expected to reach 1 billion units, and notebook computer shipments will reach 380 million units, which will greatly stimulate the market potential and space for pressure-sensitive touch solutions.
Figure 4: Four major pressure-sensitive touch solution product lines promoted by Newtray in 2020
Therefore, in 2020, Newtek will further expand its product and technology application routes and launch new solutions for four major pressure-sensitive touch product lines, including: 1. Edge Sense product line for the mid-to-high-end smartphone market, 2. Micro Load Cell product line for the TWS headset market, 3. Strain Gauge product line for the notebook computer market, 4. Metal Key product line for the automotive cockpit market, so as to adapt to various application needs of different industries and different customers.
Dr. Li Hao concluded: "Looking ahead, NewDevice will deepen its cooperation with mobile phone manufacturers vertically, promote the application of pressure-sensitive touch solutions to mid-to-high-end models, and further meet the needs of the consumer application market. At the same time, we will also horizontally empower the broad Internet of Things market, and introduce richer and more efficient human-computer interaction functions for applications such as smart homes, commercial equipment, industrial control, security, automotive central control, and medical care, so that every user can benefit from it."
