Recently, the international data research organization IDC released the latest global wearable market report for 2019. In 2019, Xiaomi became the number one wearable device brand in China and the second in the world.

The report shows that Apple ranks first with a market share of 31.7%; Xiaomi ranks second with a market share of 12.4%; Samsung, Huawei and Fitbit rank third to fifth with market shares of 9.2%, 8.3% and 4.7% respectively.

Xiaomi ranked second globally, with 12.8 million wearables shipped, of which 73.3% (9.4 million) were wristbands. The share of wristbands in Xiaomi's overall wearables portfolio has declined since the fourth quarter of 2018, when it accounted for 81.8% of total shipments, reflecting the growth of earphones and, to a lesser extent, the Chinese market.

Wearable devices are important hardware products for Xiaomi's AIoT business. Currently, Xiaomi has product lines such as the Xiaomi Mi Band, Xiaomi Mi Watch, Mi Rabbit Children's Watch, and Xiaomi True Wireless Bluetooth Headset.

IDC predicts that headphones will continue to maintain strong momentum, with global shipments of 170.5 million units for the full year, an astonishing 250.5% increase compared to 48.6 million units in 2018. Headphones and headsets are focused on the audio experience, including rich audio quality and noise cancellation.
