IDT (Integrated Device Technology), a subsidiary of Renesas Electronics, announced that it has collaborated with ONE Tech, an industrial artificial intelligence (AI) provider, to provide an end-to-end, integrated Internet of Things (IoT) and edge analytics solution for smart cities. Created to optimize the performance and utilization of city assets, the combination of IoT and Edge AI platforms combines IDT’s BLE and 6LoWPAN wireless connectivity devices, sensors, and MRAM non-volatile memory data storage with ONE Tech’s IoT platform and Micro AI.
This end-to-end IoT ecosystem from node to edge to cloud targets a variety of smart city applications, including connected communities, water and waste management, and energy and asset management. Other features include optimized productivity, using location-based tracking and analytics, greater visibility into the location, status, and security of assets, and access to real-time data for AI-based analysis to determine asset utilization and health.
