ContextVision will showcase its next-generation image enhancement platform at this year’s China International Medical Equipment Fair (CMEF) in Shanghai.
Altumira™ integrates deep learning technology and is designed to meet the huge demands of digital radiography, both dynamic X-ray and plain X-ray. The new platform provides excellent image consistency, brightness stability and high image quality, solving major challenges, including:
Different exposure conditions between different patients
Different image features of various anatomical structures and corresponding requirements
Different dose and intensity levels, as well as moving organs and collimators in dynamic sequences
Image stability between patients and under different exposure conditions

“We have received very positive feedback from markets where Altumira has been launched, proving that we are solving problems that have been troubling manufacturers and clinicians,” said Ann-Sofi Hoff, Product Line Manager at CANDIDATE. “We are very much looking forward to showcasing the Altumira platform to the Chinese market at CMEF 2019.”
Designed specifically for digital radiography systems, Altumira delivers exceptional image quality, enabling faster patient throughput and helping physicians make more accurate diagnoses.
“Deep learning is a great fit for us and has shown significant image enhancement,” said Fredrik Palm, CEO of ContextRacer. “Altumira is our first successful case study that demonstrates ContextRacer’s ability to apply deep learning to create higher value.”
This new product expands ContextVision’s portfolio of state-of-the-art 2D/3D/4D ultrasound image enhancement solutions, MRI and X-ray and breast imaging products.
ContextVision will also showcase its full range of industry-leading ultrasound image enhancement products at CMEF, which can produce superior image quality for all types of ultrasound systems, from handheld devices to the most advanced 3D/4D applications.
