[Replay] 5G Small Cell RF Test Webinar
The O-RAN Alliance was established in 2018 by five operators: China Mobile, AT&T of the United States, Deutsche Telekom, NTT DOCOMO of Japan, and Orange of France. Its vision is to build a highly flexible, low-cost wireless network that is "open", "open source" and "intelligent".
At the end of 2019, China's three major operators jointly established the Open Wireless Network Testing and Integration Center, which further promoted the compliance of wireless access network equipment and its subsystems with the standards and specifications set by the O-RAN Alliance.
Traditional solutions for RU RF testing of O-RAN 5G white box base stations usually require self-developed DU or outsourced DU/core network components to establish services for testing. For 5G white box base station RU testing, the setup is relatively complex, the testing cost is high, and the consistency and stability cannot be guaranteed.
In order to meet O-RAN's requirements for reliable and standardized RF testing of device main equipment, subsystems and their interfaces, Keysight has innovatively launched the DU simulator solution based on its leading RF testing capabilities. This can effectively improve test efficiency and reliability while reducing test complexity and cost.
Not long ago, Keysight Technologies held an online seminar on 5G O-RAN small base station RU RF testing . Keysight's senior technical manager systematically introduced the evolution of O-RAN network architecture, the standard work undertaken by Keysight in the O-RAN organization, the problems and challenges encountered in RU testing, and detailed the measurement solution for RU RF testing using the DU simulator.
This video is a replay of the seminar, and we hope it can help more customers solve problems encountered in O-RAN RU testing.
