MDO4000C actual measurement video | Automatic peak marking, simple, convenient and efficient!
Spectrum peak identification is a very important step in understanding circuit performance. It is very troublesome to turn on and place enough markers on a traditional spectrum analyzer to identify all the peaks of interest. The MDO4000C front panel provides a dedicated MARKER menu that automatically places markers on the peaks, indicating the frequency and amplitude of each peak, greatly improving the efficiency of this process.
In addition to the automatic peak marker function, the MDO4000C also provides two manual markers. When enabled, the reference marker will be attached to one of the manual markers, allowing measurements to be made anywhere in the spectrum. In addition to frequency and amplitude, manual marker readouts also include noise density and phase noise readouts, depending on whether absolute or incremental readout is selected.

The "Ref Marker to Center" function can be used to instantly move the frequency indicated by the reference marker to the center frequency.
The MDO4000C Series with Option SA3 or SA6 also includes a spectrogram display for monitoring slowly changing RF phenomena.
Press the RF button on the front panel to open the three-dimensional spectrum graph, which allows you to easily see how the signal frequency and amplitude change over time. The X-axis represents frequency, the Y-axis represents time, and the color is used to indicate the amplitude. The three-dimensional spectrum graph assigns colors to each pixel based on the amplitude at the frequency point. Cold colors, i.e., blue-green in the graph, represent low amplitudes, and warm colors, i.e., yellow-red in the graph, represent high amplitudes. Each new acquisition will add a segment to the bottom of the three-dimensional spectrum graph, and the history record will move up one line. When the acquisition stops, you can turn the multipurpose knob on the front panel to look back at the spectrum graph and view each spectrum segment.
