Focus on 6G and unlock the new intelligent reflector array (RIS) solution from NI partner Gossip Technology

As an important research direction of 6G, the importance and popularity of intelligent metasurface ( RIS ) is self-evident. RIS generates the electromagnetic behavior required by each electromagnetic unit by controlling the bias voltage of varactor diodes, PIN switches, MEMS switches, liquid crystals, graphene, etc. RIS integrates active controllers to regulate the state of each electromagnetic unit, promoting the transformation of RIS from "static" to "dynamic", and organically connecting the physical world and the digital world.
Some application scenarios of RIS
RIS can be controlled by software in real time (for example, using FPGA programming control), different digital coding sequences can be designed and stored in advance, and dynamic control of electromagnetic waves, such as single-beam reflection, multi-beam reflection, diffuse scattering and transmission, can be achieved by switching coding sequences.
GS-RIS35-1616 Intelligent Reflection Array
As a company committed to becoming the most influential SDR solution provider, Gaosi Technology
launched the new 3.5GHz real-time programmable reflector array GS-RIS35-1616 after a lot of market research and solution discussions.
The reflector array adopts the PIN tube solution and is modularly designed. It consists of 4 8x8 sub-arrays to form a 16x16 array surface, with a total of 256 units. A larger array surface can be achieved by splicing multiple array surfaces. The control part is a customized FPGA control board that can achieve microsecond updates. In order to cooperate with the base station test scenario, the control board interface is an optical port, which can achieve optical fiber extension, which is more suitable for the on-site use environment.
NI SDR Product Family
GS-RIS35-1616 can be used with NI SDR family and Gossell GSR software to quickly implement various scenario experiments and prototype systems based on RIS. Currently, many teams from double first-class universities have used NI USRP devices with NI LabVIEW and Gossell GSR software to implement RIS field tests and have achieved fruitful scientific research results.
