At the just concluded 2021 IEEE Wireless Communications and Networking Conference, NI's partner Zengyi Technology demonstrated many high-tech test solutions on site, which ignited the popularity of the booth. Let's review these advanced solutions together ~





Zengyi Technology and NI jointly showcase OAI

Complete protocol stack simulation test platform

The figure below is a schematic diagram of the OAI 5G Radio Access Network project. This project is used to build the protocol stack of 5G base stations and user terminals to realize a 5G end-to-end (Device to Device ) network.



  • Phase 1 of the project: connecting the gNB and the OAI UE without the support of the core network (EPC) was completed in the first quarter of last year.

  • Phase 2: Connecting base stations (eNB/gNB) and commercial terminals (COTS UE) with the support of the core network (EPC), which was achieved in the third quarter of last year.

  • Phase 3: Connecting gNBs and COTS UEs with the support of the core network (AMF/UPF) will be implemented in the first half of this year.

Measurement, simulation and simulation solutions

The channel measurement, simulation and emulation solutions developed by Beijing Jiaotong University based on the hardware and software platform provided by Zengyi Technology can provide multi-channel, high-bandwidth hardware-level real-time channels, and can provide a semi-physical simulation verification platform for system performance evaluation, terminal detection, and signal processing algorithm research of wireless communication networks such as 5G, LTE-V, and LTE-M.
