Lattice has introduced the USB3-GigE VIP IO Board , which greatly expands the design interface options of its Video Interface Platform (VIP). Based on Lattice's award-winning Embedded Vision Development Kit, the VIP platform allows embedded development engineers to flexibly replace input and output boards to simplify the interconnection of many video interfaces. USB3-GigE VIP IO Boards Includes ECP5™ VIP Processor Board, CrossLink™ VIP Input Bridge Board, HDMI VIP Input and Output Boards, and DisplayPort™ VIP Output and Input Boards, greatly expanding the existing VIP products.
Modular VIP Platform Allows developers to quickly build embedded vision prototype systems by mixing and matching different input and output boards, and use unified connectors to eliminate tedious manual wiring and accelerate time to market. The platform is based on the Embedded Vision Development Kit, which combines the advantages of CrossLink mobile bridging FPGA, optimized ECP5 image signal processing FPGA and high-bandwidth HD HDMI ASSP into a single, ready-to-use design platform. Lattice's new USB3-GigE VIP IO board Enables Gigabit Ethernet and USB 3.0 connections, expanding the VIP interface options and making it easier to prototype embedded vision systems.
“As more applications look to integrate vision technology, Lattice is addressing the challenges developers face by providing advanced connectivity and proven hardware and software,” said Dirk Seidel, senior marketing manager at Lattice. “With the addition of the USB3-GigE VIP IO board to the video interface platform, developers can accelerate their embedded vision prototyping by easily adding network connectivity using a unified connector.”
In addition to a wide selection of development boards, Lattice's VIP platform also offers IP from third-party VIP ecosystem partners . The IP includes commercial-grade image signal processing and network protocol stacks, GigE Vision from Helion Vision, and a variety of different sensor input boards and DisplayPort IP from Bitec (including eDP support).
