It can be widely used in graphics generation and display with high reliability requirements, and meet the functional and performance requirements of graphics systems in airborne, shipborne and vehicle-mounted environments, and completely replace foreign chips such as M9, M54, M72, M96, IMX6, etc.
JM5400 has been applied in special industries such as domestic military aircraft. Later, Jingjiawei launched a new generation of JM7000 series GPU chips in 2016. The process technology was upgraded from 65nm to 28nm, the capacity of on-chip video memory was increased, and the CPU core was integrated. In terms of function, hardware high-definition decoding capability was added, higher OpenGL versions were supported, and higher-speed bus interfaces were supported. In terms of performance, the image processing capability increased by more than 2 times, and the bus bandwidth increased by hundreds of times.
After JM7000, Jingjiawei is also developing a new generation of high-performance GPU chips. The company announced yesterday that the next GPU chip JM7200 has completed tape-out and packaging, and has successfully completed basic functional testing. The test results meet the design requirements.
The details of Jingjiawei's JM7200 GPU chip are still unknown, but the company's annual report for the first half of the year mentioned that the next-generation GPU chip will have a significant improvement in product performance and process design compared to previous generations, and earlier information mentioned that the JM7200 is still manufactured using a 28nm process.
