AIIA: Open source empowerment, intelligent sharing

As artificial intelligence is booming, "open source" has become the core path and important means of empowering artificial intelligence.

Based on this, the 2018 AIIA Artificial Intelligence Developer Conference, guided by the High Technology Department of the National Development and Reform Commission, the Science and Technology Department of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, and the Network Data and Technology Bureau of the Cyberspace Administration of China, and hosted by the China Artificial Intelligence Industry Development Alliance (AIIA), will set up a special "Open Source Sub-Forum" for developers.

In order to better promote and implement relevant national policy requirements and further promote open source and open technologies to benefit enterprises and individuals, the China Artificial Intelligence Industry Development Alliance has established an "Artificial Intelligence Open Source Promotion Group" under the guidance of the overall group. Guided by national industrial policies, driven by the market, and based on enterprises, it will work closely with relevant domestic and foreign institutions to build an industry-university-research cooperation platform, aiming to polish the underlying open source part, assist in ecological construction, and help the development of upper-level industries.

To this end, the promotion group investigated the development status and needs of open source projects of various participants in artificial intelligence, built an excellent open source resource library for artificial intelligence, and carried out discussions on the functional interoperability of open source software and hardware platforms, solution evaluation based on open source frameworks, and performance evaluation and analysis of open source artificial intelligence systems. It promoted consensus on open source systems, carried out open source community ecosystem construction and maintenance work, and organized exchange activities for international open source organizations.

During the 2018 AIIA Artificial Intelligence Developer Conference, the Open Source Forum will invite well-known academic experts from home and abroad, top corporate executives, engineers, and outstanding contribution teams from the open source community to share the progress of the promotion team's work, exchange the use and development trends of open source technologies, and explore the experience of building an open source ecosystem, so as to promote mutual learning and communication among developers at all levels at all stages.
