Explore the meaning of Matter with Infineon!
Today's smart home products are often complex to operate, not secure enough, and in many cases incompatible with each other. Users buy a device and go home, only to find that devices of different brands are incompatible with each other. Sometimes the setup is complicated. After finally setting it up, I discovered that the new device didn't work with my existing smart home products.
In order to bring together many different network factions to solve interconnection and security issues, the Connection Standards Alliance (formerly the "Zigbee Alliance") formed a Matter working group and officially released the Matter 1.0 standard in October 2022. Infineon , CSA and more than 350 companies including Google and Amazon are pioneering this game-changing Matter standard to make smart home ease of use, interoperability, security and sustainability a reality.
Before we quickly start building Matter, let us take a closer look at the meaning of Matter!
