Impression of ADI丨Starting from three chips, a senior analog electronics worker's impression of ADI
Who has the final say on ADI's position in analog technology? I can only say that in actual scientific research, I trust ADI products. What the data sheet says, it will definitely do.

For example, the ultra-low distortion signal source we made a few days ago used ADI's DAC AD5791, which is the most sophisticated DAC I have ever used. Although it is a relatively expensive DAC, it is really worth the money. We used it to design a cheap ultra-low distortion signal source with a prototype cost of no more than 2,000 yuan, with a distortion of -114dB, which is great! Of course, the exquisiteness of our design is also permeated in it.
Another example is the high-voltage amplifier ADA4530, an ultra-low bias current op amp used in contactless ECG (electrocardiogram). In theory, we are pursuing infinite input impedance, and the indicator is 100T, which is very good. The actual performance is also very good. It helps us innovate and realize the software instrument amplifier, which plays a great role in greatly removing the power frequency interference on the body surface.
Another example is the LTC6268-10, a 4G bandwidth ultra-low bias current op amp, which is used in TIA transimpedance amplifiers to achieve laser ranging and is currently the best choice.
ADI products are also powerful enough in power management and voltage reference. Generally, when we encounter such needs, we first open the ADI official website to find the desired option, and then further look for other possibilities. I am a fan, but not a crazy fan.
Finally, I have to talk about why I like ADI products so much. It is because the ideas in them are so precious for writing books. A book that only lists products is boring. It must have ideas. If readers can absorb the essence of ADI's product design in the book, this harvest will take root in the readers' hearts like seeds, helping them to come up with innovative ideas in unexpected situations.
The above content comes from
Professor Yang Jianguo, a professor and doctoral supervisor at the School of Electrical Engineering of Xi'an Jiaotong University. His main teaching work is analog electronic technology and electronic technology experiments. His representative work "Hello, Amplifier" was launched in 2014. This book has solid and rigorous theory, advanced content, strong practicality, and is widely praised. After four years, Professor Yang returned with a new series of books on analog electronics, "New Concept Analog Circuits".
The text of the "New Concept Analog Circuit" series is very easy to learn and understand, and the various analogies are also very interesting. It has now been updated to the second book "Negative Feedback and Operational Amplifier Basics". Friends who have not downloaded this series of books, please click "Read the original text" to get it for free~
