Mixed signal functional simulation in Protel of Altium Designer: 1 Mixed signal simulation is a functional simulation in the schematic environment. If you want to perform functional simulation on a schematic, all the devices in the schematic must have corresponding simulation model files, otherwise simulation cannot be performed. 2 Use the devices of the simulation model to complete the entire schematic design, and the design method is the same as that of ordinary schematics. 3 In addition to the power network and ground network, you must also add an excitation signal to perform functional simulation of the schematic. 4 Left-click View\\Toolbars\\Mixed Sim, select Mixed Sim and a mixed signal functional simulation icon will be displayed. You can set, execute mixed signal functional simulation and generate Xspice netlist files. 5 You can set the starting value of the parameter scan and the step size of the parameter scan change. Operation example: On the DXP main page (DXP home page appears by default when the software is opened. If not, you can open the DXP home page by left-clicking View\\Home), click File\\New\\Project\\PCB Project with the left mouse button. A PCB project named PCB_Project1.PrjPCB appears in the project resource manager on the left. Now you can left-click File\\Save Project as to change the project save path and project name. Right-click on the project name and select Add new to Project\\Schematic in the menu. In this way, a new schematic file Sheet.schDoc is added to the current project. Right-click on the schematic file and select Save as in the menu to change the schematic name and save path. Now, we have added a blank schematic to a PCB project.
