Virtual instrument technology came into being in the process of hardware softwareization and is widely used in the field of industrial automation. This paper proposes a portable data acquisition system based on virtual instrument technology. The system uses the graphical programming language LabVIEW Express 7.1 software development platform, combined with a laptop computer, PCMCIA-6036 data acquisition card and other hardware to build a virtual instrument portable data acquisition system. This system can effectively realize real-time multi-channel data acquisition, real-time storage of data streams, analysis and processing of test data, historical data query and waveform echo, generation and printing of test reports and other functions. The current data acquisition and analysis system is difficult to move to other engineering sites to perform data acquisition tasks due to the large overall volume of the instrument. The portable data acquisition system studied in this paper starts from this point. It uses virtual instrument technology and PCMCIA data acquisition cards to develop a 16-channel portable data acquisition system based on a laptop computer with small size, anti-interference and high precision.
