Direct current control includes two control loops when applied to the control of parallel power quality controllers, namely the current control loop and the voltage control loop. In the actual application of parallel active power filters and static VAR generators, there is a very large error in the tracking of the current loop. The command current may be several times the output current, but the compensation effect is acceptable. This paper makes a detailed analysis of this rather strange phenomenon and finally finds the cause of the current loop tracking error. This paper also finds the variables that affect the tracking error, and finally gives the impact of the error to guide practical applications. The simulation and experimental results prove the analysis results of this paper.
