General Technical Requirements for Design for Manufacturability of Printed Circuit Boards General Technical Requirements for DFM of Printed Circuit Boards This standard specifies the general technical requirements for design for manufacturability of single-sided and double-sided printed circuit boards, including materials, dimensions and tolerances, printed conductors and pads, metallized holes, vias, mounting holes, plating, coatings, characters and markings, etc. As a reference for printed circuit board designers when designing single/double sided boards: 1 General requirements 1.1 This standard is a general requirement for PCB design, which regulates PCB design and manufacturing and realizes effective communication between CAD and CAM. 1.2 Our company gives priority to design drawings and documents as the basis for production when processing files. 2 PCB materials 2.1 Substrate The substrate of PCB is generally made of epoxy glass cloth copper clad board, that is, FR4.
