With the increasing maturity of liquid crystal technology, liquid crystal display screens have been more and more widely used in the field of communications. This paper mainly introduces a new type of LCD controller designed for 3G mobile phones in the TDS-CDMA standard. It is connected to the APB bus of AMBA and controlled by ARM, supporting two modes: RGB and MCU. The Verilog language used in the design and the simulation are completed by Modelsim and the hardware circuit implementation structure is given. The LCD display screen mainly includes liquid crystal screen, drive circuit and system for controlling the drive circuit. The LCD controller we designed is mainly used to control the data of RGB mode and the command and parameter transmission of MCU mode to realize the control function of LCD. The RGB mode mainly has 16bit input, 16bit output; 16bit input, 18bit output; 18bit input, 16bit output; 18bit input, 18bit output; 4 modes of transmission. This article analyzes and introduces LCD driving, and proposes hardware circuit design and verification methods.
