This paper introduces the basic process of designing an indoor temperature detection and control system based on DS18B20. The system uses AT89C52 single-chip microcomputer as the main controller, adopts single-line multi-point detection technology, connects 5 DS18B20 temperature detection points on a bus, and cyclically detects and reads the temperature values of each detection point. The threshold can be set according to the actual situation. When the temperature of any three detection points exceeds the threshold, the over-temperature alarm and automatic temperature adjustment function are implemented. The experimental test results have achieved the expected design goals. This system improves the defects of single-point testing and only measuring temperature but not adjusting temperature of general temperature detection devices. It can be used in places such as wards, rooms, offices, small warehouses, etc. that have strict requirements on environmental temperature. The system controller was AT89C52, and used one-way multi-point detection.Five temperature detection points of DS18B20 was attached to the bus, it was loop detected and read of temperature of every test point, and could be set thresholds based on the actual situation, when temperature of any three test points exceeded threshold, and started the function of over-temperature alarm and automatic temperature control, the test results have achieved the desired design goals, The system improves the defects of general temperature detector that test by a single point and only test temperature but not regulate the temperature,it can be used for ward,room,office,small storage and so on that to be strict in environmental temperature.
