Design and implementation of indoor virtual environment based on VRML

Virtual reality technology is a hot topic in computer application research at home and abroad. Its real-time three-dimensional spatial expression and realistic immersion will greatly promote the development of computer simulation technology. This paper details the main features and applications of virtual reality technology, introduces the basic format and characteristics of virtual reality modeling language VRML, and discusses the common technologies for building indoor virtual environments based on VRML. Finally, 3D complex object modeling is realized using 3DS MAX software that supports VRML, and dynamic interaction between users and indoor virtual environments is realized through Java/JavaScript. Keywords：virtual reality; modeling; interactionAbstract：Virtual Reality technique is the attractive domain for computer application research all over the world, its real-time three dimensional expressive force and realistic immersion willgreatly improve the computer simulation technique. This paper details the main characters andapplication of Virtual Reality technique, and introduces the basic format and characters of Virtual Reality Modeling Language. the frequently used technique in building the virtual environment inside house based on VRML is discussed . At last, modeling on the three dimensional complicated object can be realized based on 3DS MAX software which support VRML, and dynamic interaction between user and virtual environment inside house can be accomplished by Java/JavaScript.Key words：virtual reality, modeling, interaction
