CAN (Controller Area Network) is a high-performance serial data local communication network composed of CAN controllers. It is one of the most widely used field buses in the world. It was first launched by Bosch in Germany in 1984 and was originally used for data communication between measurement and execution components inside automobiles. The CAN-bus bus model conforms to the 7-layer structure of OSI; the CAN-bus specification has been formulated as an international standard by the ISO estimation standard organization.
