Compared with the traditional RS232C serial interface, the RS485 serial interface has the following characteristics: ① RS485 electrical characteristics. Logic \"1\" is represented by a voltage difference of +2~+6V between the two lines; logic \"0\" is represented by a voltage difference of -2~-6V between the two lines. The interface signal level is lower than RS232C, which is not easy to damage the chip of the interface circuit, and the level is compatible with the TTL level, which can be easily connected to the TTL circuit. ② The maximum data transmission rate of RS485 is 10 Mbps. ③ The RS485 interface adopts a combination of balanced driver and differential receiver, which has strong anti-common mode interference ability, that is, good anti-noise interference. ④ The maximum transmission distance of the RS485 interface is 1219.5m (standard value), which can actually reach 3000m. The RS485 interface allows up to 128 transceivers to be connected on the bus, that is, it has multi-station capability, so that users can easily establish a device network using a single RS485 interface. RS485 interface has the above advantages and is widely used.
