The single-stranded DNA modified with thiol was fixed on the surface of gold electrode by self-assembled monolayer technology, and the electroactive Hoechst33258 was used as the indicator. The indicator oxidation peak current of single-stranded DNA modified electrode (ssDNA/ Au electrode) and double-stranded DNA modified electrode (dsDNA/ Au electrode) was investigated, and the difference (Δip) was linearly related to the complementary DNA concentration to quantify the concentration of the DNA to be measured. Therefore, DNA electrochemical sensor can be used for the recognition and determination of specific DNA sequences.
