In-situ reactive power compensation of asynchronous motor is
a reactive power compensation method that
directly connects the capacitor to the stator winding of the asynchronous motor
to improve the power factor and reduce energy consumption of the asynchronous motor during operation .
It
is suitable for
asynchronous motors with large single machine capacity (above 10kW), long running time, and long distance from the power supply
. Local reactive power compensation
of asynchronous motors must prevent the generation of
self-excited overvoltage . The compensation capacitor capacity should be selected according to
the formula:
Q≤(0- 7~0. 9)√Uefo(var)
where Ue - rated voltage of the motor , V;
Io - no-load current of the motor. A.
(1) Directly start the reactive power local compensation circuit
. The circuit is as shown in the figure. This circuit can also be used for local
reactive power compensation in auto-decompression start-up or rotor series-connected frequency-sensitive rheostat start-up . The capacitor is directly connected in parallel to the motor lead-out terminal.
