Use ordinary remote controls for TVs and DVDs to control the switches of other electrical appliances, such as turning on lights, fans, radios, etc. The control distance is about 10 meters.
TSOP1738 receives the infrared signal from the remote control. Pin 1 is connected to ground, Pin 2 is connected to power, and there is a resistor R5 in the middle. The output is Pin 3, which is amplified by T1.
The signal from T1 is transmitted to the counter CD4017. Its Pin 3 is connected to the red LED1. When the electrical appliance is turned off, it flashes red. IC1 outputs through Pin 2, connected to green LED2, and relay RL1 controls the switch (N/O) of the electrical appliance.
