The liquid level relay is a relay that controls the liquid level. This is a relay with electronic circuitry inside. Take advantage of the conductivity of liquids. When the liquid level reaches a certain height, the relay will operate to cut off the power supply. When the liquid level is lower than a certain position, turn on the power to make the water pump work. Achieve the function of automatic control. Automatic control consists of sensors and control actuators. The sensor of the liquid level controller is usually a wire. Take advantage of the conductivity of water. Water has poor conductivity and cannot directly drive a relay. Therefore, an electronic circuit is required to amplify the current to drive the relay to work. Simplified words are like this. The line is divided into three lines: high, low and middle. The high point is the water level overflow point, and the water level height can be controlled freely. The water level will automatically stop at this point. The low point is the automatic water adding point. When the water level reaches this point, the water adding device will automatically start. The center line is the normal contact point.

① and ⑧ terminals are the relay working power supply terminals. There are two power supplies: AC380V and AC220V. In Figure 2, the liquid level relay power supply is AC220V, that is, ① terminal is connected to L1 and ⑧ terminal is connected to N;

The ②, ③, and ④ terminals output the automatic control signal of the liquid level relay. The working voltage of the output terminal is AC220V. The ③ terminal is the common terminal of the output signal. The water supply pump liquid level control signal is output between ② and ③, and the drainage signal is output between ③ and ④. Pump level control signal;

⑤, ⑥, and ⑦ are the terminals corresponding to the liquid level electrodes A, B, and C in the pool. The safe voltage between the liquid level electrode terminals is DC24V. The ⑤ terminal is connected to the high water level electrode A, the ⑥ terminal is connected to the low water level electrode B, and the ⑦ terminal Connect to the lowest common electrode C in the pool. Note that in the experiment, the water-entry electrode used a copper-core hard insulated wire of 1 to 1.5 mm2, and 5 mm of insulation was peeled off at the water-entry end.

The difference between water supply type liquid level relay and drainage type liquid level relay

The water supply type liquid level relay works when there is a lack of water and stops when the water is full.

The drainage liquid level relay works when the water is full and stops when there is water shortage.

Instructions for use of drainage type liquid level relay

"High" is the upper limit liquid level control point of the pool. When the water level rises and reaches the high point water level, the water contacts the probe (electrode), and the controller automatically turns on the pump and starts drainage.

"Middle" is the lower limit liquid level control point of the pool. When the water level drops below the midpoint water level, the water and the probe (electrode) are out of contact, and the controller automatically turns off the pump and stops drainage.

"Low" is the ground line of the pool, placed at the lowest point of the pool and in contact with the bottom of the pool.
