Phase-locked Frequency Multiplier(9316)

As shown in the figure, this is a phase-locked frequency multiplication circuit. This circuit can convert a 1MHz standard frequency into a 10MHz reference frequency. The output frequency stability and accuracy will be the same as the stability and accuracy of the 1MHz standard frequency. The phase-locked integrated circuit used in the circuit is XR210. The 1MHz reference signal is coupled to pin 4 of IC1 through capacitor C1, and the output signal of counter 9316 is added to pin 6 of IC1. They are compared in phase by the phase comparator inside IC1. The output of the phase comparator is filtered by capacitor C4. It is used as the control voltage of the voltage-controlled oscillator. The operating frequency of the voltage-controlled oscillator is about 10MHz. The output of the voltage-controlled oscillator drives counter 9316 through transistor Q to divide by 10, so the output of 9316 is a symmetrical square wave of 1MHz. When adjusting the frequency, pins 2 and 3 of the IC should be short-circuited.
