The D/A conversion uses the AD 5542 chip. AD5542 is a single-channel, 16-bit, serial input , voltage output digital-to-analog converter from ADI , which is powered by a 5 V single power supply. It adopts a multi-functional three-wire interface and is compatible with SPI , Q SPI , MICROWIRE and DSP interface standards. Delivers 16-bit performance without any tuning. The DAC output is not buffered, which reduces power consumption and offset errors caused by output buffering. The output can be set to unipolar or bipolar. It has a reset function when powering on. In unipolar mode, the output is 0 after powering on. In bipolar mode, the output is VREF . This board uses bipolar output. .

The relationship between the output voltage and the input 16-bit code value is: VO=-VREF+D/32768x VR EF, where D is the input decimal 16-bit code value. D/A conversion circuit based on AD5542 :
