Motor speed controller circuit based on Maxim's MAX4295
Source: InternetPublisher:zht24 Keywords: Controller Maxim Motor Updated: 2024/06/07
This is the circuit diagram of a motor speed controller built based on the MAX4295 from Maxim. By using this circuit you will be able to control the speed of the motor movement.
Resistor R1 biases the potentiometer to match the input range of U1. Full counterclockwise rotation of the pot corresponds to reverse rotation at maximum speed in the motor. Mid-scale on the potentiometer corresponds to the motor off, and full clockwise rotation of the potentiometer produces forward rotation at maximum speed in the motor.
The characteristics of a given motor might allow you to eliminate the amplifier's output filters (L1, L2, C1, and C2). However, unless the control circuitry as shown is located close to the motor, filters should be included to reduce EMI.
