Tensilica contributes to EDA reference book, providing advice to IC designers [Copy link]

Book publisher Taylor & Francis is selling two reference books that review design automation algorithms, tools and methodologies used in integrated circuit design.

The book, titled "Electronic Design Automation Circuits Handbook," was edited by Grant Martin, chief scientist at Tensilica, Louis Scheffer of Cadence Design Systems, and Luciano Lavagno of Cadence Berkeley Labs. The first volume,

EDA for IC System Design, Verification, and Testing, reviews IC design and EDA, explaining system-level design, microarchitecture design, verification tools and testing methods, according to the publisher. The second volume, EDA for IC Implementation, Circuit Design, and Process Technology, covers the RTL-to-GDSII design flow, including detailed synthesis, placement and routing processes.

The book is available from Taylor & Francis CRC Press, Amazon.com and other major retail bookstores, according to Tensilica. The recommended retail price for the full book is $149.95.
