Consumer electronics shows a trend towards digital entertainment [Copy link]

  With the rapid development of global consumer electronics technology, China's consumer electronics market is growing rapidly. Consumer electronics are rapidly moving from the analog era to the digital era. At the same time, to adapt to the diversified consumer needs, consumer electronics are showing a tendency towards entertainment and personalization.

  The battle between LCD and plasma for high-definition TVs has been going on for a long time. At last year's China International Consumer Electronics Expo, LCD and plasma were the main products, each accounting for half of the market. But at this year's exhibition, manufacturers all aimed at LCD products.
Whether it is Haier's high-definition streaming TV and touch screen TV, Hisense's printable TV, or the high-definition TVs launched by Sony, Akai, BenQ, Toshiba, Amoi and other manufacturers, almost all of them are LCD products. Only a few manufacturers such as Xiahua "incidentally" displayed some new plasma TV products.

  "Digital home" can be seen as a trend of the electronics industry developing towards consumerization, and also a trend of digitalization and informatization of consumer electronics. At this exhibition, Hisense exhibited LCD TVs based on the IGRS home network technology system, and Changhong, Intel and Haier also exhibited digital network home terminal products based on different standards. At the "2006 Digital Flat Panel TV Industry Forum" held during the exhibition, TCL-Thomson Electronics (TTE) even proposed that "flat panel TVs are facing a major integration across digital TV and 3C industries. In this major integration, it is no longer just the panel that determines the quality of flat panel TVs, and it is no longer the panel manufacturers that play the leading role in the industry chain. Color TV manufacturers with global integration capabilities will become the dominant force."

  The entertainment of mobile phones has become an obvious trend, from simple music phones to camera phones to game phones. In this regard, Sony Ericsson can be regarded as a representative leading the trend of mobile phone entertainment. Since the beginning of this year, Sony Ericsson has held several new product launch conferences and launched more than ten new mobile phones, of which 80% of the products are entertainment-oriented: W950, W810, W300 have fully expanded the Walkman music phone product line launched last year, and the launch of the entry-level product W300 means that music phones are popularizing at the low end. At this exhibition, the K790C, which will be launched at the end of this month, pioneered the introduction of digital cameras into mobile phones, and the camera function of mobile phones has since moved from analog to digital. Haier's portable music phone, ZTE's entertainment phone, Lenovo's professional audio-visual phone, etc., which have just won the 2006 Global Mobile Phone Industry "Global Innovation Award" awarded by IWPC (International Wireless Industry Alliance), also well interpret the trend of mobile phone entertainment.

  In addition, with the increase in private cars, automotive electronics also became a highlight at this Consumer Electronics Expo. Car TVs and refrigerator DVDs launched by Hisense and Shinco, as well as car audio and video monitoring systems such as Jikang E9101N and BAV8300, all appeared at the Consumer Electronics Expo for the first time. Experts said that the development direction of automotive electronic products will be the intelligentization, informatization, and integration of automobiles, and the improvement of driving comfort and safety.
