What are the hardware overcurrent protection and software overcurrent protection of the inverter? [Copy link]

General frequency converters are equipped with hardware overcurrent protection and software overcurrent protection. I randomly designed a calibration scheme for a frequency converter, and for example, the peak value of twice the rated output current is the overcurrent point. So how do you determine the frequency converter output overcurrent from the hardware and software aspects? The hardware circuit roughly knows that when the current detection circuit detects that the output current is too large, the Hall outputs a peak voltage. This voltage is compared with the hardware calibration value through the comparator, and a high level is output, which is sent to the frequency converter main control chip to stop the drive signal. So how does the software determine the overcurrent? Are there any software engineers who can explain it in detail?
