I would like to ask the experts, what is the reason why the control signal of the GAN switch tube driver STDRIVEG600 is one beat less? [Copy link]

When STDRIVEG600 drives the GAN inverter, the control signal is lost at a certain beat, causing the motor current to drop.

In the above picture, the purple is the motor current, the cyan is the PWM given signal of the upper tube, and the yellow is the GAN inverter switching signal after the GAN switch tube drives the STDRIVEG600. It can be clearly seen that in the middle, the DSP normally gives the upper tube opening signal, but after driving, the signal loses a beat. All three tubes lose a beat in the upper tube.
In the above picture, the purple one is the motor input current, which drops in the middle. The yellow one is the C1 capacitor voltage, and the cyan one is the boost voltage to ground (not to SH voltage).
During the debugging process, it was found that the larger the value of capacitor C1, the fewer times the current drops in one cycle when the motor runs at the same speed, as shown in the figure below.

In addition, when the motor runs at a low speed, the current will not drop. That is, the driver will not lose the signal. Please help me with some suggestions. The driver manual has been attached!

The Vcc power supply is 6V, which is the standard voltage.

First, put a voltage source on C1 to see if the driver output still loses waves.


It is likely that this driver did not boot successfully. Check with the original manufacturer.

Thanks for your reply, but there is no problem with bootstrapping when the motor runs at low speed. This driver seems to be specially made for GAN inverter.

Thank you for your reply. Now the situation is that there are 20 machines with inverter bridges, and only three of them will not have this problem when running the motor. I also suspect that it is caused by the problem of the driver you mentioned.  Details Published on 2023-9-13 08:47
