What does "power on" in the 645 protocol of the electric meter mean? Does "closing permission" mean power on? Why is "permission" added? Please see the picture. [Copy link]

What does [power protection] mean in the 645 protocol of the electric meter? Does [closing permission] mean powering on? Does it mean issuing a power-on instruction to the meter? Why is permission added? The attached picture is as follows

"Closure Permitted" is a control signal used to indicate whether the meter or other electrical equipment is allowed to perform the closing operation (i.e., connect the power). When the signal is set to "Permitted", it means that the system or equipment has met all the necessary conditions (such as voltage, current, temperature, etc.) and can safely connect the power.   Details Published on 2024-5-8 11:25

Closing permission only allows closing, which means that closing can be performed manually or by receiving a closing command.

Power supply protection means stopping all planned maintenance work and switching operations to achieve a fully connected and fully protected operating state of the power grid.

However, an electric meter with a power protection function will not trip even if the meter is in arrears or a trip command is sent to the meter.

For example, some designs for national power protection functions are a software function in smart meters, or the power supply to key users cannot be cut off at will, which is where the power protection function comes in handy.

Take a good look at the 645 protocol analysis of the electric meter

Power protection has the highest priority. After the meter is set to power protection state, it will not respond to any tripping operation.
