【Microchip WBZ451 Curiosity Board】Unboxing Review [Copy link]

The previous experts have explained some basic parameters and unboxing demos very clearly, so I will not repeat them here.

1. Unboxing pictures

2. PCB Layout

The following figures are 3D and 2D Layout respectively

It is a very standard 4-layer board. It is difficult to route traces on such a small board. Microchip engineers are really good at this and they are very helpful in wiring.

One thing is that the RF module is not on the PCB diagram. Maybe it is not public or has not been found yet. I mainly want to see the routing of its RF part. This Curiosity Board uses an onboard antenna and has a reserved Ipex antenna socket.

3. Software

The development environment has been set up, but I have encountered a problem. The compiled program has no response after being burned into the board. I am looking for the reason. I don’t know if it is because the Boot loader is not burned. I will share it with you when I find the reason. To test the RF performance indicators, I need to change the transmission power, recompile the firmware, and burn it into the board. I will share it in the following article.

Thanks

BR
