[SC8905 EVM Evaluation] How to use I2Ctool on Nanxin Power Board [Copy link]

1. Connect the wires according to the operation requirements and power on for testing.

Wiring as shown, use the power supply module to provide 5.05V voltage, the voltage can be adjusted by rotating the potentiometer, and the Vbus voltage is read as 5.05V

At the output voltage Vbat, a voltage of 8.40V is obtained.

2. According to the I2c Tools provided in the manual,

I modified Vout directly, but the output voltage still did not change, it was still 8.40V. So what other settings are needed? I didn't find them in the manual. I need to analyze it again.

I think you can try changing the resistor. I can't adjust the output by software.

I also failed to debug. When the DIR position of GLOBAL_CTRL is 0, the output is 8.4V regardless of other settings. When this position is 1, the output is about 1.5V regardless of other settings. I did not find the corresponding instructions in the user manual. The data sheet is in English, so it is difficult to read. I am slowly reading it.

We have misunderstood. In charging mode, the VBAT voltage is 8.4V by default, and the VBUS voltage can be in the range of 2.2V to 22V. In discharge mode, the VBUS output is 5V by default, which can be adjusted externally or internally (register). That is to say, in charging mode, the VBAT voltage is usually around 8.4V (two strings), 12.6V (three strings) and 16.8V (four strings). Only in discharge mode can the VBUS voltage be adjusted within a certain range. Therefore, the 5V power supply should be connected to VBAT, and then the voltage should be detected on VBUA to complete the specified task.

Supply 5V to Vbat, and this operation is also executed. What's even more strange is that the output is always 1.8V.

I didn't understand so I didn't post it.

Is item 05 DIR in the tool set to 1 (discharge mode)?

There are clear goals and clear assignments, and the format is very good.
