I received the doctoral admission letter from Tongji University today and I am very excited!

I studied "Control Science and Engineering" in the "School of Electronic and Information Engineering", but it was a "degree-based doctorate", which is often called an on-the-job doctorate.

As soon as the email was sent, I received a text message from EMS. I can check the email track on WeChat. The email was sent by EMS's "Admission Notice Special Delivery".

It arrived in just over a day. The package was a special package containing Tongji University's admission letter. It was bright red and very festive.

The admission letter is a very exquisite booklet with three magnets inside. It feels very nice to open, and there is also a Tongji University emblem refrigerator magnet on it.

There are two notifications (one original and one copy) and a campus card. The notifications contain my basic information, including the college I was admitted to, my major, the reporting date, etc.

After working for 6 years, I started studying again at the age of 31. I took classes on weekends, hoping to have a fulfilling and enjoyable study life and motivate myself to keep learning.

However, this also has its pros and cons. A "degree-based doctorate" only has a degree certificate but no graduation certificate, and the four-year tuition fee is a total of 150,000 yuan. The company will not bear the tuition, travel expenses and accommodation expenses, and the company will not give salary increases or promotions after graduation. Fortunately, the company has acted as a bridge in the middle, and both parties still welcome us to continue our studies.

Haha, there is such a requirement. A degree-based doctorate first requires more than five years of work experience, and then after registration, there is a qualification review, which is quite strict. Then you need to go to the school for a written test and interview.

My workplace is in Hunan, so I may have to travel back and forth during classes, but the classes may not be too long. This way, I may cherish the opportunity to study more, hahahaha.
