How about programmers going to outsourcing companies? [Copy link]

1. What is outsourcing?

Before answering the question " Is it good for programmers to work for outsourcing companies? ", let's first understand what outsourcing is?

According to the definition of Baidu Encyclopedia:

Outsourcing refers to an enterprise dynamically configuring its own and other enterprises' functions and services, and using external resources to serve the enterprise's internal production and operations.

In layman's terms, outsourcing means that an enterprise entrusts part of its business or technology to a professional third-party company, and using its professional knowledge and technology can greatly save the time and cost of the project. In a word, professional matters should be handed over to professionals.

2. Why do you need outsourcing?

From the background, we can understand that outsourcing is to package part of the business and hand it over to a third-party company, which allows the company to focus on its own core technology research and development without investing too much manpower and material resources in relatively non-core work, which can effectively save costs and energy.

For example, banks outsource some non-core technologies, such as customer service , which is handled separately by the customer service outsourcing company and the employees' salaries are paid by the outsourcing company, but bank staff will participate in the management and training of these outsourced employees.

3. Is outsourcing appropriate?

Whether it is suitable or not depends on the individual. Let me summarize the advantages and disadvantages of outsourcing companies and make your own judgment:

advantage:

  1. Accumulate project experience. Outsourcing companies provide clients with some practical projects. If you have no project experience in the company before, you can fully understand how a project is produced and launched. These projects can also help you grow quickly.

  2. Build up your network. Outsourcing companies usually outsource projects to large Internet companies, such as Huawei, Alibaba, Baidu, etc., as well as financial and banking institutions. In these institutions, you have the opportunity to get in touch with the production and management processes of large companies, get to know insiders, and enrich your network.

  3. Professional process: In a large company, you have the opportunity to see the entire project incubation and implementation process.

  4. Access to professional training.

shortcoming:

  1. No sense of belonging. Outsourced employees need to work in third-party companies. To a large extent, you are just an employee doing work. Whether the company distributes holiday gifts or holds activities has nothing to do with you.

  2. The salary is low. Outsourced employees are for the company to make a profit, that is, the salary of outsourced employees = the service fee paid by the third-party company - the basic cost of the employer - the profit share required by the employer. As far as I know, social security and provident fund are also paid at the minimum standard. It is not ruled out that there are good companies, but the ones I have encountered are relatively low.

  3. The industry has a bad reputation. If your last job was outsourced, you may be discriminated against. This is what the Internet public opinion says. Friends who work in HR can verify this.

  4. They cannot access core technologies. The outsourced work may be hard labor or take time to complete, not because it is difficult, but because it requires people to do it.

  5. Managed by multiple parties.

In summary, friends must keep their eyes open when looking for a job, and carefully communicate with HR about the nature and content of the job. When it comes to the technical aspect, you may want to ask one more question, " What specific work will I be doing after I come to your company? " so that you can have a better idea of it.

I have met a human resources representative from an outsourcing company before. I was working on an FPGA project. After a few rounds of phone calls, I found out that the salary was not high and was not very attractive, so I did not go.   Details Published on 2023-8-28 13:13

As long as there is no risk, as long as the income is high, as long as there is no responsibility, in fact, everything is fine.

This is possible!

Can such outsourcing companies survive? If there is no work, they will definitely downsize. They will not keep people around for nothing. Such companies are very realistic.

You may not know that there are two types of outsourcing: one is domestic companies, which are very competitive and will make your scalp numb. The other is foreign companies, which are very comfortable and comfortable.  Details Published on 2023-6-20 11:14

Our company is recruiting 1-2 R&D assistant electronic engineers, no base salary, cooperation & partnership model, free to come and go, free time, open, fair, and just to make money and share money, hand-in-hand teaching PCB circuit board design and single-chip computer programming, welcome interested and like-minded friends to develop together, fresh graduates are preferred! Let
me talk about how to divide the money. For example, if the company receives a case with a development fee of 10,000, you can get a quarter if you can draw a board, two quarters if you can draw a board and write programs, a quarter if the sample technician makes BOM and samples, and the company keeps a quarter; the case is successfully developed and mass-produced, and the net profit is one-third, the company's full-time purchasing and merchandisers get one-third, and finally the company keeps one-third. It is fair, just and open, and you can get money if you do the work! Everyone cooperates with each other to do the case quickly and well. Slowly, more cases accumulate, and it is easy to earn more than 10,000 yuan a month!
