Espressif launches ESP32-C6 with Wi-Fi 6 support [Copy link]

ESP32-C6 is Espressif's first SoC that supports Wi-Fi 6, integrating 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5 (LE) and IEEE 802.15.4 protocol (Thread/Zigbee). Currently, ESP32-C6 is available for sale and you can go to Espressif's official Taobao store to purchase it .

ESP32-C6 is equipped with a high-performance RISC-V 32-bit processor with a clock frequency of up to 160 MHz and a low-power RISC-V 32-bit processor with a clock frequency of up to 20 MHz. It has built-in 512 KB SRAM, 320 KB ROM, and supports external flash. ESP32-C6 has 30 (QFN40) or 22 (QFN32) programmable GPIO pins, supporting SPI, UART, I2C, I2S, RMT, TWAI, PWM, motor control PWM and SDIO. It also integrates a 12-bit ADC and a temperature sensor.

ESP32-C6 supports Matter and can be used to build Matter over Wi-Fi terminal devices and Matter over Thread terminal devices, enabling seamless communication and collaboration of multi-system and multi-platform smart home devices. It can also be used to build other Matter solutions such as Thread border routers, Matter gateways, and Zigbee bridges.

ESP32-C6 is supported by Espressif's mature IoT development framework ESP-IDF. ESP-IDF v5.1, which is currently under development, will include preliminary support for ESP32-C6.

to view the list of ESP-IDF's support for ESP32-C6 features. Users can use ESP32-C6 as a coprocessor for an external host through Espressif's ESP-AT and ESP-Hosted SDKs. ESP32-C6 also supports Espressif's complete cloud platform solution ESP RainMaker for building AIoT products .
