[MPS Mall Huge Discount Experience Season] Unboxing - MPM54304 sent from the next door park [Copy link]

Thanks to MPS and EEWorld for giving me the opportunity to participate in the MPM54304 evaluation board order rebate experience activity.

I have received the MPM54304 evaluation board for a week. I have been too busy at work recently and have been working overtime on projects every day. I have not had time to write an unboxing report. Today I finally completed a project and have some free time to write it.

First of all, I think I should be the first to receive the MPM54304 evaluation board. I didn't expect that MPS is less than one kilometer away from where I work. Although I see the MPS commuter bus every day on my way to work, I never thought it would be so close.

Then I will briefly introduce the evaluation board and chip I applied for:

  • EVM54304-MN-01A An evaluation board that demonstrates the performance of the MPM54304, a quad-output power module with an integrated I2C interface.
    • Channels 1 and 2 can provide up to 3A (or 6A shared) of continuous output current. Channels 3 and 4 can provide up to 2A (or 4A shared) of continuous output current.
    • The MPM54304 integrates four high-efficiency step-down DC/DC converters, four inductors and an I2C interface.
    • Channels 1 and 2 can be connected in parallel to achieve an output current of up to 6A. Channels 3 and 4 can be connected in parallel to achieve an output current of up to 4A.
    • The output voltage is configurable via the I2C bus and can also be preset via a Multi-Time Programmable (MTP) e-fuse (programmable 2 times).
  • The MP2759A is a highly integrated switching charger for applications with 1 to 6 series-connected Li-Ion or Li-Polymer battery packs.
    • The maximum DC input voltage is 36V, and the holding voltage is up to 45V.
    • Four charging modes are provided: trickle current charging, pre-charge, constant current (CC) charging and constant voltage (CV) charging.
    • Small size QFN-19 (3mmx3mm) package.
  • MP20046DN-F (SOIC8E) is a low dropout linear regulator that can provide up to 2A of current and 210mV of dropout voltage. The output voltage of MP20046 can be set internally in the range of 1.5V to 3.3V. The one I got is the 1.5V version, and I didn't pay attention to the voltage version. 1.5V is a bit uncommon.

I have to say that the MPS delivery box is really big, but it only contains a small evaluation board box.

Finally, here are a few more pictures of the evaluation board:

The next project will start soon. During this period, I will take some time to study I2C control of output voltage and write a test report after the project is completed.

I didn't expect you were so close and used the expensive SF courier to send it, haha Why do people buy development boards? I bought chips. The 300 cashback on the Dog East e-card has been credited to my account for a long time.   Details Published on 2022-12-6 11:39

This is probably the nearest courier. If you don't answer my call, it will be faster to pick it up yourself.  Details Published on 2022-12-1 16:33

I didn't hear the phone ring when I was at work. I thought it was a sales call because it was a landline number, so I didn't answer it.  Details Published on 2022-12-9 13:18

Oh my god, this demo is so beautiful. I drew the diagram and made it myself. I think the board will be back soon in the next two days. I will test it then.
