The nucleo-g491 that I used before cannot be connected using the STM32 ST-LINK Utility.

Versions 4.20 and 4.60 are the same.

STM32CubeProgrammer can

There is no problem with stm32cubeide emulation.

Keil simulation is fine.

I don’t know what’s going on.

Follow the prompts to set up the REST settings, but still can't connect? Many people don't like to connect the chip's RESET pin when designing the DEBUG interface, which may cause abnormal reset and make simulation debugging impossible (for example, interference causes handshake protocol detection failure). Anyway, I usually lead out the reset pin signal on the DEBUG interface, which is just one more wire. It's not troublesome.   Details Published on 2022-11-28 13:05

Could it be that the ST-LINK Utility version is a bit low, so even if I download the latest version, I can't connect?

4.60 is the latest version. 4.20 doesn't work either. But this board can be programmed with stm32cubeProgrammer, keil and stm32cubeProgrammer are all OK. The mebed disk NOD_G491RE also appears, and you can directly drag and burn files into it. Everything is normal in simulation. Just ST-LIN  Details Published on 2022-11-27 09:46

Everything is fine with the emulation, except the ST-LINK Utility.

Changing the boot mode from nboot0 to boot0 IO port control does not help. I am playing at level 0. No encryption or anything.

I will bring it to the company computer to try it out tomorrow and report back to you if there is any progress.

Can you try it on CubeMX?

I have never used CubeIDE. I just started using CubeMX.

Another question:

For nucleo-g491re, select 1 for sWBBOOT0 and PB8-BOOT and leave it floating without grounding.

The effect is the same as sWBBOOT0 select 0 nBOOT0 select 1

Push-pull output controls pb8. PB8-BOOT is always 0.
