ON Semiconductor, a leader in smart power and smart sensing technologies, will showcase its latest image sensing technologies at Vision China (Shenzhen), China's leading machine vision exhibition, from November 15 to 17, 2022. The booth number is Hall 8 8H15.
Visitors will be able to see ON Semiconductor's XGS series of CMOS image sensors, especially the X-Cube reference design based on the XGS 5000 (5.3 million pixels 2592 x 2048 px), XGS12000 (12 million pixels 4096x3072 px), XGS 16000 (16 million pixels 4000x4000 px) and the flagship XGS 45000 (44.7 million pixels 8192x5460 px), which can run 8K video at a frame rate of 60 frames per second. These image sensors can provide frame rates with multiple resolutions and 12-bit image quality. This advanced XGS series device is based on an innovative 3.2 micron global shutter pixel, which can provide excellent image quality and consistency even at high resolutions.
ON Semiconductor will also showcase a high-resolution image sensor primarily for machine vision. This 1/2-inch 20-megapixel image sensor has many features and uses proprietary technology to provide excellent image quality under all operating conditions and achieve high performance at very low power consumption. For applications where power consumption and/or bandwidth are a concern, the sensor can be configured to output a variety of low-resolution image formats.
Handheld barcode scanners need to be fast, reliable, and have long battery life to meet the increasing expectations of worker productivity from retail stores to e-commerce warehouses. ON Semiconductor will demonstrate a barcode scanner solution that uses a new 1/8-inch VGA CMOS digital image sensor with a global shutter efficiency that is 4 times higher than ON Semiconductor's previous generation VGA image sensor. The small size and ultra-low power consumption allow it to be deployed in extremely compact vision systems.
ON Semiconductor will also be showcasing its popular AR0234CS image sensor. This 1/2.6-inch 2.3-megapixel image sensor uses global shutter technology and can output full-resolution images at 120 frames per second, making it ideal for creating binocular stereo vision applications required for depth measurement.
The latest generation of stacked, backside-illuminated (BSI) CMOS sensors with a standard 4K 3840x2160 (16:9) resolution will also be on display. They support multiple trigger modes, multi-camera synchronized scene switching and automated/user-controlled black level correction (BLC).
One of the sensors supports linear interleaved high dynamic range (HDR) and on-chip 120 dB dynamic range with up to 3 exposures of HDR, which can be recombined inside the sensor to provide better image details in scenes with more obvious contrast.
The other sensor features an ultra-low power structure, motion wake-up mode, and excellent low-light performance, making it ideal for applications where power consumption and/or bandwidth are concerns.
