[Infineon XENSIV PAS CO2 sensor] Simple unboxing [Copy link]

Thanks to the manufacturer and eeworld's event, this is a XENSIV PAS CO2 sensor from Infineon. I couldn't wait to open it after receiving it, and I give a thumbs up to the packaging.

Close-up of the sensor module

The pins seem to need 12V power supply

Official information homepage

https://www.infineon.com/cms/cn/product/sensor/co2-sensors/pasco2v01/

The XENSIV PAS CO2 sensor is an ultra-small true CO2 sensor. Designed based on the concept of photoacoustic spectroscopy, the sensor can save more than 75% of space compared to existing commercial true CO2 sensors. Direct readings in ppm, tape and reel packaging, surface mount, and simple design make the sensor faster and easier to integrate into customers' systems - whether for high-volume or low-volume applications.

Feature Description

Ultra-small size (14 x 13.8 x 7.5 mm3)
ppm-level high accuracy and high stability (±30 ppm ± 3% of reading)
Tape and reel SMD package
Advanced compensation and self-calibration algorithms
Various configuration options (such as sampling rate, baseline calibration) and interfaces (UART, I2C, PWM)

Advantages

Space saving, opening up the consumer application market
High quality data, complying with the most stringent indoor air quality regulations (such as California's "Title 24")
Cost-effective, high-volume assembly, easy system integration
Suitable for high-volume standards, fast pick and place, enabling fast automated assembly - no post-calibration required
Diverse configuration options provide customer flexibility

Potential applications

  • Demand ventilation control
    • Commercial and residential HVAC
  • Indoor Air Quality Monitoring
    • Air Purifier
    • Smart Thermostats and Air Quality Devices
    • Air Quality Devices/Monitors
    • Smart lighting
    • Smart speakers and other consumer devices
  • Smart Agriculture

I have preliminarily read the official user guide, which provides an Arduino driver library, and I can use the Arduino software for development and testing, which is very convenient.

What's the white thing at the bottom of the box?

The OP probably received the domestic version, and the quality is not as good as the one in the picture.
