Experts, please explain the relationship between the various layers of the PCB [Copy link]

I have used protel 99 and AD 17, and I have been drawing low-speed PCBs. Although I have been in the industry for many years, I have not studied PCB knowledge in depth. Recently, I want to learn orcad, pads and other software. However, I encountered many concepts and process problems in the learning process. AD is a really good software, but I didn’t know that I could have been living a life of idleness for many years. I would like to ask the experts for some of the following concepts.

Solder MASK Top
Solder MASK Bottom
Paste MASK Top
Silkscreen Top
Assembly Top
Courtyard
3D Body Outline

1. Solder is the layer with tin. MASK is the mask, which is the mask of tin. Is Solder 0.1m smaller than Solder Mask?

2. Is paste solder mask or flux? What is the relationship between solder mask and flux? Are they the same size?

3. Silkscreen, no doubt about this

4. Assembly: This should be the physical boundary of the component. Strictly speaking, the assembly boundary or the assembly space required by the component, because some components require special space for installation such as heat dissipation, as well as spatial isolation, welding, soldering, etc. for EMI.

5. Courtyard, I don’t know what this floor is and what it is used for.

6. 3D Body Outline, this seems to be the location of the 3D model.

7. The assembly hole is 0.2m larger than the component pin

8. Can the hot air pad prevent components from "tombstone" during welding?

Now using AD21, basically it is CAD to draw the pattern, route the wires, cover the copper, and then make a window.  Details Published on 2022-10-1 08:41

I have used Protel from 99 to AD 17.

You have been engaged in drawing boards for at least six years, and during this time, you only drew pictures and not made circuit boards?

Of course, I have made steel meshes. In the early days, we did manual placement. Later, I basically stopped drawing boards. I don’t understand the things about patch factories.  Details Published on 2022-9-30 15:22

In other words, you have drawn the blueprints, but you have never opened windows, exposed copper, used green paint in special places, or installed holes.

I have applied tin, removed green paint, and customized board frames using CAD. I haven't done anything else except drawing the packages of various relays and connectors.  Details Published on 2022-9-30 15:18

I started using Protel 99 in 2002, and used it for almost two years. I started using DXP in 2005, AD9 in 2009, and then AD17. I rarely used the drawing board after that.
