describe
The ZCC51403 is a feature-rich synchronous buck controller that achieves excellent efficiency in high power density, point-of-load (POL). Stable performance and a wide input-output voltage range enable the ZCC51403 to provide a variety of DC-DC regulator solutions. The resistor-programmable switching frequency of 200 kHz to 1.2 MHz and the integrated high-current MOSFET gate driver with adaptive dead time provide flexibility for optimizing solution size and maximizing conversion efficiency. The 0.6V reference voltage and ±1% feedback voltage accuracy and 30ns high-side power MOSFET minimum on-time make it easy to obtain high-precision, low-output voltages. The ZCC51403 uses lossless inductor DCR current sensing and low-cost BJT remote sensing of inductor temperature to support accurate thermal compensation overcurrent protection.
The ZCC51403 features a traditional voltage mode control loop with a high gain bandwidth error amplifier and PWM input voltage feed forward to simplify compensation design and achieve excellent loop transient response. The FPWM mode eliminates frequency variation, minimizing EMI interference in sensitive applications. The PG circuit provides output good display and fault reporting.
Other features include programmable system-level thermal shutdown with self-recovery, remote output voltage sense, configurable soft-start, pre-bias start-up, integrated low dropout (LDO) regulator, high-precision enable with customizable hysteresis for programmable line undervoltage lockout (UVLO), and synchronization for beat frequency sensitive and multi-regulator applications. ZCC51403 is available in a small 24-pin QFN4X4 package.
